Limited Brands' volunteer partnership with The Salvation Army

Limited Brands' volunteer partnership with The Salvation Army of Greater Columbus was recently featured in their spring 2007 newsletter, "Spotlight on Corporate Caring" article. Also in the newsletter, the featured personal testimonial in "From the Mailbag" was provided by a Limited Brands associate. Both excerpts are provided below.

Spotlight on Corporate Caring
Limited Brands

"The work of The Salvation Army is sustained thanks to the support of corporate partners like Limited Brands. In addition to providing generous financial support for our Career Enhancement Center and Learning Centers, Limited Brands provides a steady supply of volunteers and material resources to support our life-enhancing programs and services. In 2006, 130 Limited Brands associates volunteered during our Christmas Cheer program. Their associates also work in The Armyâ??s Choice Pantry. Shelley McCrae, Volunteer Programs Manager for Limited Brands, feels good about partnering with The Salvation Army. "I would definitely encourage anybody to get involved with The Salvation Army," stated Shelley, "because you all make it so very easy to work with you. And, we are happy to help!"

A Daughter Remembers

"When my mother was a little girl, her family was very poor. The Salvation Army was the only organization that provided help to them. They provided her with her first pair of shoes and boots for the winter. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for The Salvation Army for giving my mom her first pair of shoes and boots without holes in them." -Limited Brands Associate
