Several times each month, Limited Brands associates roll up their sleeves and inspect, clean and sort canned and/or carton foods that are distributed to needy families through the Mid-Ohio FoodBank.

Over the past year, hundreds of associates from the Columbus home offices have volunteered two to three times a month at the Mid-Ohio FoodBank. Limited Brands has also supported the Mid-Ohio FoodBank through its Second Servings program where Limited Brands home offices donate unserved, excess prepared food to hunger relief agencies. In addition, Limited Brands has also provided support through monetary donations and helped raise $3 million to renovate their food storage facility.

"We are so appreciative of the support Limited Brands has provided the Mid-Ohio FoodBank over the years," said Bev Thompson, Manager of Volunteers, Mid-Ohio FoodBank. "We feel so lucky to have this partnership with Limited Brands where their employees volunteer time during work hours to assist us, so we can quickly turnaround and deliver this food to our clients and know that they have a meal and do not have to go hungry."

In 2005, Mid-Ohio FoodBank distributed 28.6 million pounds of food, which equates to 37,000 meals each day. This provided enough food for more than 193,000 different clients. The Mid-Ohio FoodBank is one of the largest out of the 12 facilities in Ohio. For the past 25 years, Mid-Ohio FoodBank continues to serve others in the hopes of one day ending hunger.
